What’s your quick “mobile usability” checklist for a new site?

I’m going through a few sites on my phone and trying to keep only the ones that are easy to use. A lot of pages look fine at first, but then the navigation gets messy, text spacing feels off, or the layout changes when you open a different section.

Readability matters more than design for me. If the text is tiny or the spacing feels cramped, I get tired fast. When I checked wacky panda https://wackypanda-nz.com/, I was mainly looking at whether the text and buttons felt comfortable on mobile.
